Breath of marble

Breath of marble

And how could we continue

to ignore the nature to us fraternal,

in the black martyrdom without land,

of the crucified migrant to the mast

of the ship? Shot dead the breath,

it's a wavin' flag, for hope,

on hard waters of marble

and in the lungs, at the fonds of borders

without trace on each map.

Respiro di marmo

E come potremmo continuare

ad ignorare la natura a noi fraterna,

nel martirio nero senza terra,

del migrante crocifisso all'albero

della nave? Freddato il respiro,

sventola una bandiera, per speranza,

sulle acque dure di marmo

e nei polmoni, alle fronde di confini

senza traccia su ogni mappa.
