Rough day, I see

That's ok, come sit with me!

Ignore the needs of those you love,

Push it out of your brain, give it a shove.

Drink up and it will all be gone,

The day you had, grueling and long

Don't worry about the day ahead,

Just relax, your children can put you to bed.

I haven't seen you in a while,

Come drink me in, I'll make you smile

Don't set me down, don't kid yourself

Years later, still full, I sit on this shelf.
