Break the Chains

Location

Tick-Tock 3-4

Hammer, saw, nail, and hat

Sweat on brow, and tampered back

Leathered hands with blistered feet

No school or past for extra sheet

Tick-Tock 3-4

Mindless, rhythm, unskilled, work

Oppressed, depressed, digressed to rest

Watching dreams that pass you by

The chains that hold you where you lie

So break the chains

That you hold you down

And guide your life to wear the crown

Hold the hand in midst of educational fear

The risk is great but foresee the future near

Knowledge is power and success the successor

Don’t let the forest of confusion turn into a stressor

Want a career not a job and want something to obtain

Be selective not objective like a lion that knows his domain

Dance your rhythm, sing your song, break chains, live your passion

A rhythm with no cadence, tick 1 2 tock, the creativity now in fashion

A clock with no hands has no template for the future and this is your hour

Words, life, and value will grow, expand, lengthen, inflate, develop, and mature like a flourishing flower
