To the boy who broke my heart

I'm crying a whole ocean

Yet you won't swim out to me

The tide pulls in and out

My restless body like waves

Bending and reaching to feel you in my arms, again

Was it the same when you kissed him?

Did you sink into his bright blue

His sturdy branches connecting with your current

Retelling you the three words I would always say,

"I love you, Dean"

If you won't see my beauty

Someone will

Because I deserve to be loved

By someone who will build my waves

Until all I see is a steady stream of love
