Bonjour

Psalm 1:1-2

How blessed is the one who does not follow the advice of the wicked,
or stand in the pathway with sinners, or sit in the assembly of scoffers!
2 Instead he finds pleasure in obeying the Lord’s commands;
he meditates on His commands day and night.

Bonjour

Days move in simple silence

One is here when I awake

Quietly it stands before me

Even when asleep it gets no break

Mysterious so ... some dark some light

all just wrapped into one

In the dawn or the twilight

it just keeps a going on

If the daylight considers living

then the darkness reeks of death

Is the light just for forgiving

and the darkness a lifeless breath?

Without sleep there is no awakening

and for sure there is no rest,

to provide courage for the taking

and to prepare to give our best

So day is day and night is with all

residing as one in the Eternal

To keep track with certainty

just marking off the temporal
