Body

Sun, 01/28/2018 - 14:38 -- khoenig

Dear Body,

What do you make me feel fat and insecure?

Why do you do it? I'm not sure

My whole life I've struggled to lose weight

I'd put less and less on my plate

Middle school was not fun

A boy called me a hippo and said I weighed a ton.

"Boys won't like you unless you're thin"

All I want is to be comfortable in my own skin

"Why don't you just stop eating?"

I'd prefer my body not take such a beating

"Just exercise go to the gym it's easy"

I go to the gym it's not such a breezy

Body why do you do this to me

All I want is to be happy.

Sincerely,

Kennedy
