The body

Mon, 01/22/2018 - 20:18 -- Mnallen

The body

of me

hangs on the edge

of a cliff

hanging only

by a single thread

by the name of

hope

hope clings to me

as if

i have nothing else

as if

i am to believe it

my body

aching

at every joint

and every crisp turn

and crack

and shake

it aches

as I hang

from this cliff

only by hope
