Blue Prayer

I can accept this love,

but not if you won't leave it

Even if you aren't willing to,

don't put it past your heart anymore

I can accept even these broken promises,

strewn across this cold floor

I've gotten used to the birth of false hopes and immature dreams

But I can't stand when you wish just lie there

When I'm pressed against this wall,

waiting to hear you speak

When I think about you,

my heart feels like dust

Swept away is my hope,

how can I hope when it's strewn across the floor

When I think about us,

it feels like a void again

As you come approach my heart again,

it starts to feel like a void again

Where it comes from and where it goes when you leave,

I'll just never know

When you words enter me, they fill me up,

and they shine like black

Hearing you laugh and smile looks so much heaven

But when you touch me, it just feels so damn cold

And when you let go, it feels so sore
