I am cut from a seperate fabric than the rest.

My material is a vibrant red while everyone else's is a pale blue.

They try and tell me, "You are blue! Just like us." Yet I am not color blind.

I see the difference.

And it is this difference, and their longing for me to be like them, that leaves me more isolated than ever.

But then I met you,

And you were the most beautiful shade of blue.

My world turned full circle,

And I became purple.

I was no longer sad,

And when I smile I'm really glad-

That I wasn't blue

Because I wouldn't have found a new hue.
