Blind Fire

Location

The eye is not often bright

All hope for a blaze in the night

A light

To show them out of the darkness

For too long we have misrepresented our cause

The idea, the concept that we are protected by laws

Forgetting that the true hope lies in improving our flaws

Not in anyone else's

A day is passing and but one strike has taken place

In the eyes of what we call our informant - a disgrace

The same glow we were looking for, masked by a face

And yet, by a face

We blew out the same spark we had asked for
