Black Person

Yes, I am black do you have a problem with that

Must  i always be seen as the ghetto loud black girl you see on your tv screens

Can i not have good hair, without you thinking its a weave

Must i have a big butt like the women in the rap videos

Does my only dream have to be just a rapper or even a baby mom

No, i can be anything i want to be

I know my father, he help rised me

My kids father is in there life

I graducated high school and got my education

I aspire to do big things with my life

I'm not just a black person, am a human am free to be me

My blackness does not define me

This poem is about:
Our world
