Black Heart Renewed (The Story of a Black Heart 2) by: Jaay Dee Kayy

...then she awoke from the coma the poisons had put her in,

foaming at the mouth from all the drugs they were pumping,

arose with the sunlight and the stars in the sky,

memories of medics racing against time, the fate of constellations,

poison flowing through her ventricles, her heart beating slow,

her diastolic indication that death is knocking at her door,

but a black angel stood in sharp color contrast with the ceiling,

he took some of her poison away and hid them in his wings,

and his wings were the blackest black with glowing red veins, a beautiful beast,

a creature shunned for the skin he's in, still reaching, I see him reach, reach, reach...

to renew me.
