"Black Father's Matter"

they matter to a certain extent.

when they leave, its the end.

nobody asked you to be a father.

rather than be a deadbeat either.

"black father's matter".

you tell me why.

no playing in the park with their sons.

no doing their daughter's hair.

no going to graduation.

they hate you.

what kind of mother did you have?

she didn't teach you.

"black father's matter."

man, no they don't

I had a father once,

I mean a deadbeat.

I'm 15.

where were you 15 years ago?

where's the love you gave?

"black fathers matter."

well, they matter ...

to a certain extent.
