Black is Beautiful

Location

History repeats itself

it's why we're here again.

Black versus white

but this time it's times ten.

We need to be aware

that this gon' get us nowhere.

No! It's not him, her, or them;

the problem is us --stop pointing fingers at them!

Trust is what we're lacking

we're abundant in fear.

How do we expect to make it up there

when we're failing tests down here?

Open up your eyes and see

black is beautiful, it's a blessing diversity!

Why be the enemy

when we could live in harmony?

Majority, minority

but that's what makes the melody.

Think before you act

'cause what you do impacts.

You hurt them, you hurt me

'cause Black Is Me.
