The Big Picture

Location

You look at the picture and you see what's there.

You get lost in her smile, her completion, her hair.

Her dark eyeliner brings out the brown in her eyes and her eyebrows are perfectly shaped.

But what you don't see is, what's there.

You look at the same picture, but you miss the big picture.

What's really there?

Her smile is forced,

Her eyes are filled with hate.

The girl in the picture, wasn't the girl in the picture.

Her mind screamed for sanity and her heart craved love.

She was just seventeen years old,

Beautiful, but cold.
