Beyond my exterior

Would I be asking for too much if I asked for your understanding? In this day and age,  when times pace isn't good enough and tolerance is at an all time low, can you spare a bit of patience? Do you care enough to dig pass all the wreckage and debree, just to get to the better parts of me? Do you care enough to know? All the things I keep hidden, all the truths I don't show...will you go where no other has gone before? Because I promise there's more to me than what meets the eye. I cannot blame you if you decide against it; I am quite the mess, but underneath all of this lays only the desire to love and to be loved. I pray that your hands are the ones to uncover it...
