Beyond choices

Exodus 15:26 New English Translation

26 He said, “If you will diligently obey the Lord your God, and do what is right in his sight, and pay attention to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, then all the diseases that I brought on the Egyptians I will not bring on you, for I, the Lord, am your healer.”

I hope our nation is not too far gone. To be delivered from its blindness.

The Lord brought down the “super-natural” on the land of Egypt

He did this to deliver His very own from a world of slavery

He shows us clearly the need to be set free from a similar condition

I hope He uses His power to overcome this world’s bravery

Diseases roamed in Egypt and dominated their part of the world

Their priorities caught up with them in what they had achieved

We won’t share their lot if our priorities are placed now on Jesus

Not in the way we talk alone, but in how we live out our true belief

Between sin and death is sickness, a barren desert of our own

We have a choice to travel through or roam there until the end

The trouble is that most of us get used to it and stay in the dessert

Acting to convince ourselves that our deliverance is Heaven-sent
