Beware

Thu, 10/17/2019 - 18:11 -- LeamsiG

Deep down in the ocean where the blue and black meet

There's a wonderous creature very known but unique

Comes out during the day and sleeps through the night

Hiding in the shadows, out of the humans' plain sight

Now you're splashing and playing and you think you can swim

You're going further and further and it's starting to look grim

It's wanting to come out because it knows you can't see

You're in the midst of its target, you appeared unwillingly

And you start to feel it tug and you're starting to get scared

A sign floating by with a "Mermaids Beware!"

And somehow you're stranded far away from the shore

An air full of mystery but you're begging for more

"It's time," you hear, "It's time," she says as she pulls you from the top

One final breath of air you take and then you're begging her to stop

It's too late now you're in her reach and you turn to take a look

A gorgeous view awaits your eyes and now your hearts been hooked

She bites and claws and tears your face and you're screaming full of pain

Then suddenly it gets quiet and now the ocean has your stain

She gulps you down and cleans her mouth and her teeth are colored red

So back again to the top she goes and now your friends are dead

Now a little girl is walking, right along the shore

The Mermaids back to fetch her prey so she's waiting for some more

Little girl be careful or else you'll end up dead

People are quickly disappearing and the ocean's full of dread
