Better Than My oppressors
I imagine freedom to be a different story
A story untold or unheard of
More so of the deliverance out of the valley
But yet and still I remain
Equality to me was more of a rarity
To be seen and not heard
To be the literal invisible man
Enough was enough, to
Rekindle the faith in freedom
One must free himself
From his own prison
From his own emotional bondage
Time must be able to heal all wounds
Having the wisdom to forgive
All those who wish to oppress me
Now more than ever do we need God's grace
My God will call me to paradise by thunder
Yet and still the lighting appears, he
Opens flood gates and
Pours until my cup runneth over
Pours until rivers begin to form
Rest assured that vengeance will be his
Even in thy darkest hours
Somehow that gives me hope
Somehow I sleep at night but
One of these morning you will look for me and i'll be gone
Rest assured I will be with my true master.
Soon very soon.
