The best in me

1 Peter 2:5

And you are living stones that God is building into his spiritual temple. What’s more, you are his holy priests, through the mediation of Jesus Christ, you offer spiritual sacrifices that please God.

Beyond the flesh

You bring out the best in me and I have to live with the leftovers

I did not have to offer much ... now just left with a pile of dust

Here for all to observe and see as I ran and searched for cover

As the frailty of humanity as such shows in boils, sores and puss

To give what you don’t have or from the little that is not yours

Will disappear amazingly fast unless through life replenished

But who to find and ask and not to beguile for sure

With the misconceptions of your past before the race is finished

Never amounted up to much only noticed by me or self

The first in a race to nowhere where I am the only participant

I gave it all as such before the start as you can tell

With the support of long lost peers in their races filled with hesitance
