beneath the surface
Skin so soft, color so unique
Will I take this paint brush and alter a masterpiece?
My reflection says no, My insecurities scream yes...worldwide images have left my mind a mess.
Beyond these bright eyes lies a world of disguise and I've been living it to easy.
I am who I am and that's all I can be.
Will I allow society to filter me?
Except my every blemish and marking
No fading or auto correct necessary
Beneath the surface is a real woman crying for acceptance yet her confidence rejects it.
