Belly Button

Everyday I stare at the clock

I watch as oblivion moves

Tick, Tock

I stare out the window

The birds fly by

caw,caw

No time for them to stop and spend

I stare at the ceiling

count the holes

186,457

but you wouldn't know

I stare a quite a few things

forgettable even now

but the one thing I won't forget

EVER

is how your belly button sticks an inch out from your body

like a friendly reminder to count calories

do well on this next test

or someday it will be me

watching life drain out

seeping through the pores

of the girl counting holes and staring out the window

follow my dreams and acheive

So one day  I wont be as unhappy as
