Behind the mask

The flirtatious girl who’s so insecure.

With her light green eyes that always end with a blur.

You’d never guess from the way she acts.

The thousands of tears she’s holding back.

With every step she seems to take.

Her heart can’t help but continue to break.

The words she speaks and thoughts she hears.

Barley cover up her forsaken fears.

Her friends want the life they think she’s glad to live.

Yet her heart is focused on the care no one seems to give.

Lying on the floor as her fragile heart starts to break

Her aching body can’t help but to shake.

The pain her body faces late at night

Is becoming harder and harder to fight.

She can no longer move because her body is broken

This could have been prevented if she split the words she left unspoken.

But now she’s slowly dying

Her body is done and has decided to stop trying.

And as they play her final song

We people wonder what was wrong.

Her passing wouldn’t have been such a hard task.

If she let us see behind the mask <3
