Behind Every Dark Cloud....

A Day unto which a child was born

A child who held in his hand

A pencil

And his heart

And unto this pencil he would write

Write

Write on his soul and write his souls his

Dreams and write his plan.

He would paint the sky and tell what.

It deferred

But his heart

His heart

His heart ever red and ever pure

Ever loved by no one

This un-named born was I

I

I

I was the born I was the child born

Unto the day with the pencil and heart

In hand

By the time I had realized the purpose of said pencil.

I was of 5 years

But age comes to me fast

With what the adults

Call the “smelling yo self” ages

I started challenging my heart

Seeing who I could give it to

Who

Who

Who

WHO WASN’T WORTHY OF THE PUREST

LOVE

So the search began

High and low………………

                        I searched

From mountain to vallies…………..

                                                            I looked

Acclivity to declivity

            City to city

                        Town to town

…………………………………………………….

                                    Nothing

So I sat with my heart

And wrote what I noted

I charted

I mapped

I solved mathematical equations

I factored the difference and subtracted the numerator

WHILE dividing the denominator

I solved for X

While defining what Y equation

AND THEN!!!!

I found out what the equation equaled

It equaled

It equaled

It equaled???!!!

A silver lining

Behind every dark cloud

Is said to be a…

Silver lining

I sat and told myself

Over and over…

“Behind every dark cloud there’s

A silver lining”

“Behind every dark cloud there’s

A silver lining”

“Behind every dark cloud there’s

A silver lining”

So I put it to the test

When worth

The friends I had

Turned to face music

I wasn’t to play the harmony of

I said

Behind every dark cloud there’s

A silver lining”

When classified as being gay

I said

Behind every dark cloud there’s

A silver lining”

When my mom

STRONG

FIERCE

WOMAN OF THE BLACKNESS

SPAT FROM THY LIPS!!!

“FAGGOT”

I said

Behind every dark cloud there’s

A silver lining”

As I churned this

This butter brain of mine

I said to every boy

Girl.

Man.

Woman.

Child.

Infant.

Embryo.

Senior citizen.

Who has been beat down,

Rejected,

Because of the iridescent glow

Of their skin,

The Sex they choose to love,

Remember…..

Behind every dark cloud there’s

A silver lining”
