Behind the Curtain

I am good at many things, but great at nothing

I am an outdoorsman, preferably hunting

I have a love for the arts especially music

My heart’s full of love, I’m a hopeless romantic

I am a small town boy in a city so vast

It took moving away, to want it all back

I love my family, want only what’s best

Funny and charming, but hide from the rest

Like many before, I fear the unknown

Afraid of the hurting, just leave me alone

Speak to no one, let no one else see

A slam behind the curtain, that person is me

Longing for truth, I will never retire

Finding my purpose, my dreams I aspire

I hold great potential, the future will see

The only thing holding me back will be me
