Beginning of us
The beginning of us
Scarlet roses on my porch
I inhale their sweet scent
Intoxicated by their beauty
Place them into a crystal vase
Then witness as they wither with time
Their dark edges curl and crumble
What once held them in unity has become tarnished
And the originally clean water that made them thrive, evaporates
Into thin air
As the petals fall with their blackened edges
The thorns remain sharp as bloodied knives
Your words hurt,
The end.
