The Bee.. (Queen)- Poe Style

Once upon a midnight facebook
While i pondered, i took A look,
At all these wonderful pictures they took,
and for a minute,
my head, i shook.

These are the 'Queens' of the new day.

T'was a horrible sight that i did see,
it seemed that they saw right through me,
ice cold stares and mini skirts,
UGly boots and deep V shirts,
Long curls draping down,
from my side of the screen, i did frown.

I see what 'Beautiful' is currently about.

I have seen them lurking about,
from the shadows they creep out,
judging and laughing,
chewing, gum smacking,
truly a terrible, horrible sound.
I can see right through them now.

Quoth the fair maiden, "Who's gonna turn down?"

Even through foundations and blush,
I see a heart, Purely crushed.
Black soul inside, festering there,
Forced horns emerging from beautiful hair,
there once was a girl without even a care.
I knew her well, but that was back afar.

Quoth the mad maiden "Soon she'll be ours."

They beat her into prep,
left her so scared,
Broken, life eroding,
So she mustn't dare,
Ignore the screech and cackle,
of the prep maiden, so fair.

Quoth the scared Maiden, 'That girl over there is a whore'

Her mind has been ruined.
And the girl is corrupt,
All this to be noticed,
Not even loved.
They are no true friends,
They have no heart,
no longer safe haven after they start
in her direction, her direction with ease,
they'll tear her back down
And leave her heart diseased.

Quoth the horned maiden, ''It's part of the score".

**And NOW time for an explanation!**
In my English class, we are studying one Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven"
and I felt compelled to give his poem a more modern twist, and this is the result:)
