#BecauseILoveYou

I want to drape My protective and warm red coat

over your shoulders,

so that this frigid air may never harm You.

The indifferent air swirling around does not seem to halt You

in your Joyous Dance across the solid ground.

Your skin like marble with perfect wrinkles

Your hair divinely woven silk, aged to a fresh grey

Your eyes still sparkling

You still swirl with such ease.

Still, after all these years,

I see You, and You see Me.

I don't Know if either one of Us ever felt the absence of warmth

Since We have met.

60 years later

Still, After all these years,

We still are encompassed with the warmth of each other.

We stand before each other and nothing divides Us.

Not even the small arguments, the accusations, the qualms, or even the secret grudges...

It may have been easier to leave

and (rightly so)

say it was my infidelity.

But

When Asked why you stayed

you only say

in such a gracious way:

Because I Love You.

Still Today, We hold our aged hands.

Our Golden bands,

Resting against one another in unifying pride.

Still, after all these years,

We can still embrace each other and know there is nothing to shame or hide.

We know We are not flawless,

so when asked by other how We have survived the struggles of each other

We say,

together,

Looking at each other

in a Gracious way:

Because I Love You
