Because I Loved You

Because I love you
I am here,
For you,
anytime you need me to,
Be there,
Because I love you.
I am here
to pick up the pieces of you
and help put you back together,
Because I love you.
I am here,
to strengthen you,
not for me,
for you,
Because I love you.
I am here,
to help you
become the you
that you
want to be,
Because I love you.
I am here.
by your bedside,
encouraging you
to go to the people
who can help you
more than I can help you,
Because I love you.
I am here,
waiting for you,
when you come home,
Because I love you.
I am here,
back at your bedside,
calling for the people,
who know how to help you,
because you don't know how to help you,
Because I love you.
I am here,
in the hospital,
with you,
waiting for you,
to wake up.
Because you didn't want to be you anymore.
Because you didn't love you.
I was there,
loving you,
and I know you loved me too.
Even though you never came to.
I know you didn't love them more than me,
and I never forced you to love me more than them.
Because I loved you.
I was there,
to clean up the mess you made,
of yourself and the floor.
I was there,
to talk to you, and help you,
and guide you.
I was there,
to call for you
and not get a response.
I was there,
to call the police.
I was there,
by your bedside,
ecouraging you,
to wake up.
Because I love you.
