Because I Am

Last night, you came to me in a dream

With a stanza the seemed to be out of this World.

You laid down.

I turned around.

And my first reaction was to try to awaken.

But then you showed me the rest of your stanza's.

Told me to take a journey with you.

We started at the Capital,

Then made it after a long Period.

You gave me more insight.

Because you exist,

I write.

With a burst of light that seemed to be out of this World,

You said, "This World is overrun

And bland,

And I need you to stand.

Because you are the Poet,

And I am the poem."
