Beauty in the Pain

Location

Bringing among us the most unpredictable sensations,

Love is ugly, foul

Do not trust a heart’s strange vibrations,

Run, hide; beware it’s prowl.

Ferocious and unforgiving

It taunts, then lashes at the soul.

This is why I pity the living,

We fall for Love’s irresistible hole.

But if I were to fall for Love,

Our icy fingers would intertwine.

Dancing to the call of the mourning dove,

This Love would be all mine.

And finally I would feel it’s electricity,

The fire running up through my veins.

Curing my heart’s toxicity,

I finally see the beauty in the pain
