Beauty Hid By An Invisible Wall
She walks through the door,
A crooked smile on her face,
Holding everything in,
Disguising the terror she feels in this place.
A beauty hid by an invisible wall.
She finds people she knows,
Pulling them in for a hug.
Listening to pointless conversations,
Poisoning her mind like a drug.
A beauty hid by an invisible wall.
Someone calls them away,
She's left standing alone.
Resisting her thoughts,
She looks down at her phone.
A beauty hid by an invisible wall.
She clings desperately to herself,
Walking down the full hall.
Staying out of everyone's way,
Realizing her presence is ever so small.
A beauty hid by an invisible wall.
She catches glances of others,
Cackling at gossip they hear.
Insecurity rises within her,
As she pushes back tears.
A beauty hid by an invisible wall.
She stops in the stairwell,
No one else to be seen.
Emotions burning like a fire,
Run down her face like a waterfall's screen.
A beauty hid by an invisible wall.
Thoughts race around her head,
One screams out violently.
"You don't have to feel this way."
She realizes silently.
A beauty hid by an invisible wall.
"I am Strong.
I am Powerful.
I am Beautiful.
I am Incredible."
A beauty hid by an invisible wall.
"This is only a chapter.
This is only a page.
I have the pen,
I can leave this cage."
A beauty hid by an invisible wall.
She takes a deep breath,
Hope filling her chest.
She wipes the tears away,
Finally knowing she is blessed.
A beauty hid by an invisible wall.
"I have so much potential,
I have so many dreams.
This is only the beginning,
I have my whole life redeemed."
A beauty hid by an invisible wall.
She realized her purpose,
To help the brokenhearted.
To heal the wounded.
To listen to what no one else hears.
To love who no one else sees.
To laugh at the little things.
To change another person's life.
To learn from mistakes,
And to live a life of joy.
SHE WAS A BEAUTY THAT COULD NOT BE HID BY AN INVISIBLE WALL.
