The Beauty of Calm

What do I do when life gets rough,

when stress makes me feel like I've had enough?

What I like to do is sit down and breathe,

especially when I've found a good book to read.

Then I smile and let good thoughts rush through my head

and try to get as relaxed as when I'm curled up in bed.

Sometimes I'll watch a funny cartoon,

or at night, I'll simply look at the moon.

The way I get happy is by becoming calm like the leaves

that ever so gently blow off the trees.

Like the leaves, I rise and fall in the breeze,

but eventually, I will reach my destiny with ease.

No matter what, life will be full of many twists and turns,

which is why remaining calm is something we need to learn.

To find serenity despite life's greatest woes

truly is, in my opinion, the best way to go.
