On The Beach at Normandy

In distant lands
On foreign sands
Our soldiers fight
To keep our rights

Tanks roar
Planes soar
Bullets fly
No place to hide

There were men that were left on those beaches in France.
They laid down their lives to give us a chance.
To the shores of the U.S., they never returned.
Was sacrificing their lives, worth what they earned?

Our freedom
Our rights
and
Our homeland were protected that day.
They earned us our lives
As we live them today.
