Be You

I look around at other people and think they have it made,

They have nice skin, expensive clothes, and their hair is never frayed.

Sometimes I want to have what they have and act the way they do,

In hopes that people would look at me, and want what I have too.

But if I had the life of the people I am aiming for,

I'd soon find out that in my life, those things would be a bore.

Nothing anyone else has or does can make me feel as free,

You see, the only thing that can make me cool,

Is simply being me.
