To Be Heard Slam- I'm Not Like You Mom

Location

When I write, I write because I choose to,

When I cry I cry be I’m supposed to,

When I die inside it’s because of you.

Always telling me you’re so proud,

Then I mess up and you draw a crowd,

Always second guessing,

Fells like I’m living a lie,

Two battles going on,

One front I’m winning,

On the other side,

I’m about to die.

I hide inside waiting for the right time,

Talking to you, the time is never right.

Here I am writing, screaming the words out,

Just for you to know I know I’m going to turn out fine.
