To Be FTM

Locations

When you walk through the halls and students don't know

If you're a boy or a girl, and think their confusion don't show

When you use the bathroom and they can't keep a straight face

Always, they say “Hey, I think you're in the wrong place”

When you put on a shirt and you just feel wrong

Because parts of you show that just don't belong

When you're no long allowed to cut your hair short

Because your parents miss the girl that they adored

When you bind and you hurt and you do what you can

And you always end up right where you began

When those that teach you can't get your fucking name right

And there just ain't any fixing in sight

When the one you're supposed to look up to puts you

With the girls, and they wonder why you don't act like they do

When you show who you are and society condemns

Then you will know what it's like to be FTM
