The Battle of Freedom

Through my eyes, I see warriors, fighting for battles in unity.
Fighting for color, fighting for peace, and for rightful humanity.
No guns, no knives, just armed with souls that weep for equality;
because they believe in their country, the place of liberty.

Through my ears, I hear cries, calling for people that understand.
Beseeching to someone that may need a strong and helping hand.
The brave, the loved, marching for serenity in their cold land,
Because they believe in change, something that would make the world grand.

Through my skin, I feel pain, tears run down my face for sympathy,
For those who marched down a long road, had no fear and did not flee.
The courage, the honor, went through such obstacles to be free,
Because they wanted to save the freedom for people like me.
