Baseball, Love, and Solitude

The love of the game can bring you all the fame,

but it can tear you down and bring you shame.

When that shame comes, you must learn to deal.

If you cannot deal, then you will not heal.

You can love the game so much, that it can drive you insane.

If you let it get that far, then the game will bring you pain.

When that pain comes, it is hard to get on track

and to get on track, you can't get out of whack.

To get out of trouble, you have to understand

and to understand is to use your hand

Grab a pen or a pencil, and find time for yourself

Or the game will leave you, and end up on a shelf.
