Ball of Fur

Do they even know?

That little ball of fur at the end of your bed.

Does he know how much he’s loved and adored?

The slightest movement of a paw can cause a parade.

A simple ear twitch can cause a wave of Awww’s.

He’s just living, doing whatever task he needs to do.

But still, we observe eagerly,

Just to see something we’ve seen every day since his arrival.

And we love it.

He shows his appreciation when we come home,

He’s sitting, waiting patiently for us.

He can’t read a clock but he knows what time it is.

Does he know that we would be lost without him?
