Baggage

James 5:3 New English Translation (NET Bible)

Your gold and silver have rusted and their rust will be a witness against you.

It will consume your flesh like fire. It is in the last days that you have hoarded treasure.

Baggage

The world has no obligation to us after the Lord delivers us from it.

He does not want us to carry gold and silver as baggage.

He really does not need it for Him to build His temple

for what we carry with us oft becomes our carriage.

Really sad to see all the waste of the material gathering

to build a so-called spiritual life on false security

The hunger for assurance and the instinct for survival

that drives the worldly throng far away from purity
