Baggage

Proverbs 19:21

21 There are many plans in a person’s mind,
but it is the counsel of the Lord which will stand.

Go out into the world – that seems not possible

How do I carry all the baggage that I’m dragging around?

So wisdom’s great pearl I’ll stack up with the probable

And attach it to a message that I carved into the ground

“Love is isolated”- now is my undivided motto

Unconditionally secured in the vault of my own mess

All is now formulated – a daydream long forgotten

For me to be endured in my world of second-guess

Searching for the sunshine – always digging deeper

Smiling at the bones I find on my way down

Treasures on my mind – they’ll be safe in my keeping

For I am all alone on my chosen sacred ground
