Awoke to Darkness

I don't remember

Most of the dream.

Just that you

Were in it.

Alive.

I think I met

Your parents?

Your brothers?

I don't remember

Most of the dream.

But you were

Most definetely

Alive.

I think I told you

How I felt.

Your response is

Blured.

The only detail that is

Clear

Is that you smiled

As I cried

And held my hand

In your own.

But the pressure in my

Palm

Was just a tortuorus

As the pressure in me

Chest.

I can't remember

Most of the dream.

But for a second

After I awoke

You were

Alive.

And for a second,

A fleeting second,

I was alive again

Too.
