Awesome, Wouldn't You Say?

Many are confused, in a way,

by the manner of which I start each day.

I spout,

"Everything is awesome, wouldn't you say?"

They query, " If I may...

Why is today such a great day?"

This is without even knowing the horror or joys ahead for today.

I reply with a simple "Hey,...

Did you know that although the sky is gray,

the sunny days have been thrown away,

and your joy has been led astray,

every day in every way

is always

always

an awesome day.

Wouldnt you say?"

Though they may not see it now,

they'll listen when I tell them how.

They have legs and arms to take a bow.

They have lips and words to make a vow.

They have faces and hands to wipe their brows.

They have positivity in their hearts to sow,

They have eyes and ears to take the advice I endow.

I say it strong, and i say it loud.

""Everything is awesome, so what say you now?"

Still won't admit it? Wont let it go?

That's fine. I have tons more to show.

There's a lot of greatness in the world, you know?

I'll prove it with this curveball I'll throw.

Simply put, this curveball is my tale of woe.

It's not just hot air I have to blow.

It's a story that I must let flow.

There was a time I was so low

that I was ready to end it all, to just let go,

But I realized something on my personal death row.

The world isn't a place I wish to forego.

It is beautifully and abundantly awesome, above and below.

Life has many wonderful gifts to bestow.

My restless thoughts began to slow

and a small realization began to grow.

Life bestowed upon me a special quid pro quo.

If i could sum it up, this is how it would go:

"Believe each day is a great day.

Believe that you can make the best of the fray.

Believe that nothing can get in your way.

Then, surprisingly, things will start to be okay.

Nothing will be able to lead you astray.

Nothing will be able to cause you dismay.

This, to you, is the debt the world will repay.

So, though it may sound cliche,

Everything is awesome, wouldn't you say?"
