By what standard to measure … what rhythm leads my song?

What beat predicts my movement as in thought I travel on?

Who provides the background music? Who always comes along?

Who sets my eyes direction? Who made the path I walk?

Who keeps me from running? Who listens when I talk?

Who moves my hands in writing … as in heart, I search and plot?

His patience is unsearchable … His love inspired by God.

Alone-ness is a blessing … when I know He is near

for even in deepest lonely-ness … He shows me I’m here.

He shows me the treasure of nothingness and the blessing of empty inside.

The places only He can fill … with the riches of only right.
