Awaiting

Mon, 03/04/2019 - 08:06 -- mars00

Waiting.

Waiting for a sign,

Broken, damaged, lost,

Crying for help,

Screaming into the void,

‘Help me, please, someone help me.’

A single word.

Waiting.

Hands balled tight,

Sandalwood scent,

Rising,

Calming,

Relaxing,

Hands releasing.

“Come on back.”

Waiting.

Sitting now.

Voice soothing,

Smile kind.

Ease.

     Peace.

‘Thank you.’

Waited,

For the day I would heal.

For my days to run out.

For the pain to end.

Good, neutral, bad.

“I am okay.”

I will live on.
