Autumn's Reign
A slate gray sky above my head,
The leaves on trees a firey red,
What marv'lous beauty to behold,
When Summer sighs and becomes old!
Her green effects begin to fade
As Autumn comes to take her place.
She breathes one final balmy breath
And slowly fades unto her death.
Queen Autumn now is on her throne
Her head adorned with crown of gold.
Upon that royal seat she'll reign
'Till Winter's coronation day.
For now she sheds her golden light
And gives to all such great delight.
Great joy is brought to ev'ry heart
At such displays of glorious art.
