You bring the words out of me
sucking letter shapes out the end of my pen
or scratched out of sharpened pencils on
sheets of loose paper
fingers tingling to slash my thoughts
permanently
into anything that stays still

You bring out the lover in me
the power and strength
that flows from my fingertips
is you
the elegant curves in the lines
or the syntax
the shape of you makes me
tremble in awe

You bring out the craving in me
the screaming desperation
of needing you
frantically
I never wanted you
never
but now that I’ve known you
the way that I do,
I can’t be without

You are my insatiable thirst
my obsession
I follow you recklessly
brandishing my pen
ink flying from the tip
as I attempt to do you justice

You bring out the poet in me
and I delight in my discovery of you
and you will continue
until all the pens and pencils
have had their say

The last few lines were absoulutely beautiful! "you bring out the poet in me and i delight in my discovery of you and you will continue untill all the pens and pencils have had there say." you are a poet without a doubt. this is a beautiful piece of your love and muse
