Arrogance

What are the boundaries of your mind?
Quite similarly of one’s own confine.
But why would someone of such intelligence,
Waste their brilliant thought with such arrogance?
Filling one’s mind with useless thoughts,
Never to know what lies across.

Can you see the other sides with your eyes,
Or have you contemptuous ways set your mind away?
What would you do with nobody to guide you or tell you what to say?
Would you just sit there and let your life waste away?
Can you imagine what in the world can happen,
If you just listen.

But I’ll tell you this from start to finish;
That without the other half you’ll fail to know,
What opportunities will blow,
Away.

Stop thinking you’re right,
Even if it takes all of your might.
Although your efforts may not eradicate,
It may help to start with some faith.
Give yourself something bigger than yourself,
To take away from your mendacious health.

In some time you may remiss,
And see the amazing people you may have missed,
As well as the ones you seemed to vex.
Cantankerous thoughts cause much distress,
Especially when you see a man wearing a dress.
Regardless of your beliefs, you still have to see,
That all people have feelings,
And everyone’s feelings matter to me.

Come to a realization,
That you stand in your own way,
Unless you understand the many views that life comes at hand.

What are the boundaries of your mind?
Quite similarly of one’s own confine.
But why would someone of such intelligence,
Waste their brilliant thought with such arrogance?
Filling one’s mind with useless thoughts,
Never to know what lies across.
