Around the World

It's a new world we live in with hover boards and guns

and bloodshed everyday

with people looking down at the ground instead of looking

up and seeing the sky

but that's ok

Because we look at our phones and talk and say

I'm glad you're alive today

at our friends across the world in

Afghanistan

France

North Korea

and everywhere else that people are dying and living and

crying.

I  can't live without my phone

where I can call and tell my mom that I

love her

or tell my dad

Please pick me up at 3 today.

Class was canceled.

I scroll through the internet and see another article on a dead child

who's only crime was to exist and I

retweet it

like it

share it and

make sure that it's never forgotten

and make sure to say their name.

So yeah I need my phone everyday

to read some new story and

play some game and

pretend that I'm living the life I've always wanted to where I

can be an archer a

magician

or whatever.

I'm a child of the new age the

new world and I

can't live without my phone

and I'm sure that

I'm not the only one.
